The USS Tennessee (SSBN-734)(Gold) approaches Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay May 22. This is the Gold crew's final return to Kings Bay. The Blue crew will make one more patrol aboard Tennesse prior to the boat transiting to Norfolk, Va., for an extended overhaul and refueling. The Ohio-class submarines consist of two crews, blue and gold, which allows for more efficient use of the crew and the submarine.
