Franck's Glittering Fly Tied by Martin Battilana This antiquarian British fly dates back to at least 1658, the year Captain Richard Franck included the dressing for this pattern in his book, Northern Memoirs. The fly was supposed to be a dragonfly imitation, and is a direct decendant of later fancy wet flies, such as the Teal and Red.
