'Grant's Tomb, on riverside drive at 123rd Street. A magnificent mausoleum erected by the city of New York in memory of the famous General in recognition for his services during the Civil War. Here, side by side, lie the remains of Gen. United States Grant and his wife. It is a square structure, 90 feet on each side and 72 feet in height, built of white granite, with marble interior.
