El Rey National Park is located in the department of Anta, Province of Salta, Argentina. This park is to preserve the Yungas and transitional environments between them and the Chaco region. It is part of the subtropical forest area. It has dense jungles, forests and mountain meadows in altitude. In the jungle area are as quebracho trees, pepper trees, broads, guava, above 1,500 meters above sea level are the coniferous and deciduous forests such as the mountain pine and alder. The fauna has copies of cougars peccaries, the heaviest mammal in South America, tapir, monkey cai, some varieties of anteaters, peccaries, mountain foxes, and some wild cats such as ocelots, the puma and currently few specimens of jaguar, among chuñas, a birds with red legged, and various species of parrots and hummingbirds.
