An old bridge, the Pont Romaine, over the River Homol, near Génolhac, Grad, France.

The River Homol rises on the slopes pf Mont Lozère in the Cévennes region of France. It flows a short distance to eventually feed into a large man-made reservoire and then onto the Cèze. The bridge pictured here is typical of many old bridges throughout the region. Such bridges are usually made of local stone, either granite or schist. The Homol support a great deal of flora and fauna of the region, including trout and crayfish.
