Eisenhower (CVN 69) (Ike), left, and the guided-missile cruiser USS Port Royal (CG 73) conduct a routine, scheduled transit. Ike and its carrier strike group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the 5th Fleet area of operations.
