Leptis Magna Al Khum Libya


The city of Leptis Magna was founded in 1100 BC, in around 146BC the city became part of the Roman Empire and was one of the major cities in Roman Africa. It is the birth place of Septimus Severus, who was Roman Emporer between 193 - 211AD. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
