PERSIAN (Madeira).—The well-known Eng- lisli Walnut, a handsome, lofty-growing tree of spreading habit, hardy aiid produc- tive as far north as New York City. Trees of this variety are plentiful in New Jersey and produce annually immense crops of thin shell nuts of a delicious quality.
