A Small-spotted Genet (Genetta genetta) photographed in the Auob riverbed of the Kgalagadi Transfrontier National park in Southern Africa. Genets are small, solitary nocturnal carnivores which inhabit the forests and grassland of Africa and southern Europe. They prefer an arboreal existence, sleeping in trees by day and hunting in and around them by night.
