Marines, piloting an AH-1Z Viper, with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 162 (Reinforced), 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, prepare to take off at Marine Corps Outlying Field Oak Grove, North Carolina, Dec. 13, 2022. Marines with VMM-162 and the Battalion Landing Team 1/6 conducted flight operations heading to a forward arming and refueling point (FARP) during Marine Expeditionary Unit Exercise I. FARPs are designed to supply fuel and ordnance necessary during helicopter and fixed-wing operations.
