The mires along the Green Belt and therefor the former Iron Curtain are among the few wetlands remaining in Central Europa. There are still lots of Round-Leaved Sundew flowering in the sun near Langreut in the Bavarian Forest. Am Grünen Gand entlang des einstigen Eisernen Vorhangs gibt es noch einige Moore und feuchte Wiesen, die im Rest Mitteleuropas längst Mangelware sind. Auf dieser feuchten Wiese bei Langreut im Bayerischen Wald blüht dann auch noch der Rundblättrige Sonnentau reichlich.
