It isbuilt upon a gently sloping arm or spur ofthe Rocky mountains, the main divide ofwhich is about 3 miles distant to the altitude is 5,800 feet above the sealevel, and it overlooks the beautiful Sum-mit valley, Avhile Silver Bow creek flows atthe foot of a hill a mile away. It has a [[)southern exposure and natural drainage,and with its pure, bracing, invigoratingatmosphere it is, when the ordinary san-itary laws and rcgnlations are observed,one of the healthiest cities h\ the Montana Union is the only railroad atpresent entering the city.
