Irrigation is the key to Saudi Arabia's well being. The Kingdom has implemented a multi-faceted programme to facilitate the supplies necessary for a modern economy. Water is provided by a vast network of dams has been built to acheive and utilize the seasonal floods, underwater reservoirs are tapped through deep wells, and desalination plants have been built to provide fresh water from the sea for town and domestic use.
