Churh made by red brick in Evangelical-Augsburg church of St John the Evangelist Since the 1860s, the growing Evangelical community in Lodz tried to build a new church for its faithful. Their efforts were supported by the wealthiest factory owner in Lodz, Karl Scheibler, who in 1876 donated 50,000 rubles for the construction of a church.
