171120-N-OW019-119 5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (Nov. 20, 2017) A landing craft, air cushion, operated by Sailors of Assault Craft Unit 5, returns to the well deck of the amphibious dock landing ship USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52) after going ashore. Pearl Harbor is deployed in the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations designed to reassure allies and partners, and preserve the freedom of navigations and the free flow of commerce in the region.
