Ayer, of Beading, who is a specialist in single violets, says that his plants are good in spite of the drought. He is at present busy housing his car- nations. The New England Florists' Supply Co. is doing a good business and feels much elated at the patronage it is re- ceiving. At the salesroom of the Flower Growers' Sales Co. some fine roses are being received from Thomas Roland's new house at Nahant. J. W. Foote, of Beading, has flowers of old crop Beacon carnations with .30-inch stems of remarkably fine quality for the season.
