Seed planted early in the spring will quickly produce plants from which leaves may be cut all summer, as you can cut right down to the ground, and new shoots will soon spring up and make a fast growth, while those plants which are allowed to grow on without any cutting _ will make large curly leaves, with thick light-colored mid-ribs, which are delicious when cooked and served like You should not fail to plant at least one long row in your garden.
