Only one large specimen is at hand, namely the same which Theel very doubtfully referred to operculaius, calling attention to the fact that it had some pecuHar cups beside the grains on the dorsal side. A large specimen, the sole about 4 cm in length. Dorsal side very high, vaulted; scales thin, resembhng those oi Psolus squamatus; about 6 dorsal scales between oral and anal scales; oral opening closed by 5 triangular valves; inside these, 5 radial " teeth" and outside, 5 small.
