At the Rabbit Mountain mine in one ofthe lower levels I saw water running over the breast of the drift which gave off a faintodor of sulphuretted hydrogen and was depositing a while flocculent material, whilstboth at this place and at the Beaver mine I was informed that small quantities of in-flammable gas had been met with. These veins, like those of Temiskaming, frequently present a brecciated appearance,angular fragments of rock being enclosed in the vein material.
