Humpback Whale Tale
We had been watching the spike in humpback whale activity in Sitka Sound for a couple of weeks from our cabin on the south side of Arrowhead Peak. On a cold, January day, the whales were everywhere around the boat, Orca and Humpback whales, maybe some small dolphins but I couldn't make them out in the distance. This Humpback whale pod was moving quite fast and when passing close to the boat, one tail slapped for some time, this is its song in movement.
