These mineshave lain dormant for many years on account ofno transportation through the Box Canyon. Thegovernment has been at work removing obstruc-tions in the canyon and when that work is com-pleted it will give those who own claims in thatvicinity an opportunity to work them. In the lone valley valuable coal deposits haverecently been discovered and 30 claims were loca-ted the latter part of April by the Northern Pacific.
