(Ready in November.) One of the most charming of spring-llowering plants, anil can readily be flowered in the house. The pips or crowns are received from Germany during November, and sliould be planted soon afier their receipt. The simplest method lor indoor cullure is to place a bundle of pips in a 7 or 8inch pot, filling it up with sand, moss or light soil, allowing the points of the pips to be about an inch above the surface. They should then be placed out of dc( rs and brought indoors as wanted, and put in a shaded place in a temperature of about 70 <'e- grees, and when the spikes are 3 or 4 inches high liiey may be brought to wliere lliey are to perfect their flowers. Hy having a number of pots and bringing in at intervals, a continuous display can be had throughout the winter and spring months. We recommend clumps as most suitable for outdoor planting.
