A Steady Pressure will always be main- tained in your steam pipes, no matter how the pressure at the boiler fluctuates, if you equip your main lines with these valves. Carry 40 or 50 pounds pressure on the boiler, set the Hughson Regulating Valve to carry 5 or 10 pounds on the line and you will always have a reserve in case of a sudden drop in temperature.
