Visitors view "Sphere" by the sculptor Fritz Koenig on Sunday, April 3, 2011 in Battery Park in New York. Previously the centerpiece of the World Trade Center Plaza the sculpture was buried under tons of rubble eventually put on display in Battery Park. The NYC Dept. of Parks and Recreation has announced plans for the continuance of a bike path which will require the removal of the sculpture. (© Richard B. Levine)
