Coast Guard Rear Adm. David Throop, commander, Coast Guard 13th District, presents Darci Dawson with the Meritorious Public Service Award at Base Seattle Museum on July 7, 2017. Using her former training as a lifeguard and her knowledge of CPR, Dawson saved the life of a drowning toddler while on vacation in Montana with her family.
