James M. learned thecabinet makers trade, but his health failing, neverworked at same afterward, engaging in peddling,merchandising and farming; he died at the age ofabout seventv. - The late Jerre Lyons (son of Dr. Jerre Lyons,of Colerain), was born in 1798, at Colerain, came to Montrose, Penn., in 1819, and engagedin the mercantile business, continuing same until1868, at which time he retired. From 1824 until1835 his brother, Benjamin R. Lyons, was associatedwith him. Later Charles F. Read was with him fora time, and still later Theodore A.
