A bar in Omoide Yokocho, (Welcome Alley) though more commonly called Piss Alley. Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan Friday November 27th 2015 This area of small, rough standing bars hides down the side of Shinjuku station and is a remnant of the post-war development when business sprung up on any spare land. Often threatened with demolition and redevelopment the area is enjoying something of a renaissance and has been cleaned up and made less of a fire risk recently .
