Painted wild dala horse statue in downtown Lindsborg Kansas

This is one of the many artistic renditions of a herd of traditional wild dalas painted by local artists in charming Lindsborg Kansas. The tailless horses are a well known Swedish icon first whittled out of wood. In 2000, the town decided to cast the dala shape in large fiberglass forms and allow local businesses to sponsor the uniquely decorated statues.
