Back side of the Nathan Rappaport’s Warsaw Ghetto Heroes Monument in the Poland’s capital - Warsaw, Poland.

“March towards annihilation”, the granite relief on the back of the memorial, shows a procession of deportees, symbolizing martyrdom and helplessness of the Jewish population during the German occupation. The Warsaw Ghetto Heroes Monument commemorates Jewish fighters who were killed during the Ghetto Uprising (18 April – 16 May 1943). The monument is coated with slabs made of stone which was imported by Nazis to occupied Poland from Sweden as a material for planned by Germans monuments commemorating Hitler's victories.
