Jettisoned Apollo 12 spacecraft part against the Earth. The portion of the spacecraft that has been jettisoned is the Spacecraft-LM Adapter (SLA), seen at lower centre. Parts of Baja California and the Yucatan Peninsula are visible on the Earth globe. Apollo 12 took place from 14-24 November 1969. It was the second manned mission to land on the Moon, landing on 19 November 1969.
