He has for severalyears been a member of the Day & Zimmermann forcesand is one of the firms prominent efficiency engineers, hav-ing given particular attention to schedules and car opera-tions. Calderwood resigned as vice-president andgeneral manager of the Brooklyn Rapid Transit System onJan. 1, but will retain his connection with the company in anadvisory capacity.
