Paddington is a major rail terminus and London Underground station complex in Central London. It has been the London base of the Great Western Railway and its successors since 1838. Much of the station dates from 1854 and was designed by the great Victorian architect and polymath, Isambard Kingdom Brunel. This was also the place where the eponymous Paddington Bear was found, wandering and confused, after his epic journey from deepest Peru. But it all turned out well in the end, of course!
