A visitor in front of the Cretan icon of Saint John the Baptist as the Angel of the Desert from the second half of the 17th century during the opening of the exhibition Byzantine Tradition across the Centuries in Prague, Czech Republic. The exhibition presenting an excellent selection of Greek orthodox icons from the collections of the Kondakov Archaeological Institute (Prague) and the Museum of the Russian Icon (Moscow) runs till May 13, 2015, in the Strahov Picture Gallery.
