In the MemorialHall at Springfield, Illinois, are found only two captured flags; onewas taken from the Mexicans at Buena Vista, the other was takenfrom the rebels at the battle of Pea Ridge by the 37th 111. Vol. boys did their share wherever they went. Mustered intoservice on the 18th of September, they entered the Department ofthe Missouri the next day, and took part in Hunters campaignagainst Price in southwestern Missouri, marching to Springfield andback to Laurine Caulmint.
