Casodex prostate cancer pills. Each pill contains 50 milligrams of the anti-androgen drug bicalutamide. The prostate is a gland beneath the bladder in men which contributes seminal fluid to the ejaculate. Anti-androgens block the uptake of the male hormone testosterone by the prostate gland. This leads to the death of cancerous cells. Side-effects include nausea, decreased libido and the enlargement of one or both breasts.
