The Department of Conservation (DOC) sign at Anakiwa marking the start (or finish) of the 70+Km Queen Charlotte Track. The track ends at Ship Cove. The track is completed over a number of days, from 3-5. The track is maintained and overseen by DOC with access to cross some privately owned land. Many people start the walk by water taxi from Picton and stay at lodges spaced alond the route or camp at DOC sites.
