FORT DRUM, – Soldiers assigned to Alpha Battery, 1st Battalion, 258th Artillery Regiment, 27th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, man an M119A2 Howitzer during an air assault artillery raid here June 9. During the raid soldiers in Alpha Battery were airlifted by two UH-60 Blackhawks to the landing zones where they then used their howitzers to engage a simulated enemy target.
