In rapidity of growth it rivals the most luxuriant trees of temperate climate, while its hardi- ness has been damonstrated by its standing unin- jured twenty-five degrees or more below zero. 15c. each, $ for 25. Catalpa SpeciOSa. More upright and symmetrical in its growth than the common Catalpa (Syringa- folia), and blossoms two or three weeks earlier. Valuable for timber, fence posts, railroad ties, etc., possessing wonderful durability.
