Khiva is the former capital of Khwarezmia and the Khanate of Khiva and is located on the far northwest of Uzbekistan on the Silk Road trading route. It is a city-museum. The Pahlavon Makhmud mausoleum is holy place for all Muslim Khorezmians, the population of Khorezm and Khiva .
