Business this Easter will go on record as the best we have ever had. There was about half enough liHes to go around and other bulb stock sold well. In pot plants, azaleas, roses, daisies, primroses, genistas, lilacs and deutzias were about cleaned out all around. Crimson Rambler rose did not sell as well as other years, the call being prin- cipally for the Baby Rambler, Dorothy Perkins, and Lady Gay. The weather was ideal, the temperature varying from 40° to 60°, and no wind. This helped delivery very materially and saved heavy wrapping of plants. HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY MEETING. The spring show of the Worcester County Horticultural Society was held April 4 in Horticultural Hall and was small in comparison with other years, probably on account of its to Easter. The schedule called for cut flowers and H. F. A. Lange, Edward W. Breed, Clinton, and Allyne W. Hixon had a fine showing, each winning in the order named. The exhibitors of nar- cissi and hyacinths were scarce, Mr. Lange having the only showing of the former and Mr. Breed of the latter. Lange also had a nice showing of tulips and Geo. McWilliams, of Whitinsville, had a table of orchids, which added much to the exhibition. For cut flower basket E. W. Breed was first and H. F. A. Lange s
