Four chalices, Giuseppe Barberi, Italian, 1746–1809, Pen and brown ink, brush and brown wash on off-white laid paper, lined, At left the high foot is decorated with medallions, connected by festoons. The stem is a richly decorated baluster. Above it is a row of cherubim which support the bowl, whose lower part is decorated with festoons supported by bunches of ears of grain. Center: the stem is a standing angel, supporting with both hands upon his head the bowl. It has below a leaf calyx and is decorated with crossing ears of grain rising from the hands of the angel.
