The second mill of this kind was built, also on \^eales creek, by\-Ai Chapman, in 1S15. It was of greater capacity than Veales mill, fur-nished more lumber, and continued in operation for a longer time. Thethird mill was a different design than either of (he two mentioned. Themoti\e ])(j\ver, instead of being waler, consisted of two or three yoke haltered within a tread-null.
