King Frederik VI of Denmark, Duke of Lauenburg (1768 - 1839), his general's uniform, circa 1814/20 Uniform tail coat of bright red cloth with a blue collar and cuffs with gold foil/paillette embroidery, and white piping. The front is double-breasted, fastening with six pairs of flat gilded brass buttons. The left side of the breast bears the embroidered stars of the Order of the Elephant and the Bavarian Order of St. Hubert (since 1814 knight of that order). Epaulettes with gold bullion, of the original three embroidered rank stars (general), only two are left ,
