Governing body of Church of England holds annual meeting, which opens with the first Presidential Address by the new Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby. Following the Synod's failure to approve the consecration of women bishops at its Synod in December, a motion is introduced which proposes that draft legislation be prepared and introduced at the Synod in November this year; discussion is scheduled to take place on July 6, with a vote on July 8.
