Seed sown in fall may be transplanted the following spring. 1 oz. will sow 300 feet of drill; 3 lbs. to acre in drills. HEAD VARIETIES. Big Boston. A superior sort. Very popular with market gardeners, as it always produces large, solid salable heads. It also commends itself to amateurs. It is crisp and tender, and heads up at all seasons of the year. Fine, compact heads, which resist the heat of Summer better than other sorts.
