He then engaged in farming and stock raising, owning 80 acresof land. For several years, he served as justice of the peace and is nowcity clerk. He was associated in business with the O. K. Store of Pattons-burg, two years. On May 1, 1884, Mr. McDaniel married Anna A. Patton, a native ofTexas and a daughter of Frank and Elizabeth (Locker) Patton. FrankPatton and wife were the parents of the following children: John H., de-ceased; Mollie, widow of James Ronner, McFall; Mrs. McDaniel; and Will-iam Y., retired, Hulett, Wyo.
