Observations.—The habit of F coromotensis isvery similar to F. sodiroana. However, the spikeletsof F. sodiroana have shorter glumes (lower mm, upper glumes mm), shorter lem-mas ( mm), and shorter anthers ( mm). 22 Festuca in South American Paramos Distribution and habitat.—This species isendemic to Venezuela, known only from the Andeanstates of Merida and Tachira. Festuca coromotensisoccurs in the Andean forest and matorral communi-ties between 3000-3500 m. Additional specimens
