Plant i^ hills about four feet apart each way. When all danger from insects is passed, thin out the plants, leaving three or four of the strongest to a hill. The fruit should be plucked when large enough, whether required for use or not, as, if left to ripen on ,tbe vines, it destroys their productiveness. \^ Early Cluster'-YtmH short, pro- ducing the bulbs of the fruit near the root, and in clusters, not desirable for pickling.
