Jean-Rodolphe Perronet (1708-1794), French engineer. Perronet is best known for the bridges that he designed and supervised the building of, including the Pont de la Concorde (completed 1791). He was involved in several other bridges, and in the construction of the Canal de Bourgogne (completed 1832). 19th-century engraving.
