The eastern bays of the aisles are square externallybut apsidal within, and have a wide central windowflanked by wall arcades of two bays with a sunk-stardiaper on the arches. The opening of the apse isspanned by a square-edged semicircular arch with anouter roll, the vaulted ceiling to the east of it beingcarried by two short square-edged ribs springing fromcorbels on either side of the east window.
